Top 10 Things to do When You are Pregnant.

So, pregnant and got little to do? Off on your maternity leave and got bored playing angry birds? We are here to bail you out. You do not have to stare in vacuum all day trying to figure out what exactly can you do without straining your little one. Except obviously dreaming of how the future is going to mould its presence in your life. Here are 10 easiest things to do when you are pregnant. Follow these and say bye to pregnancy boredom.

10. REST TILL YOU CANNOT ANYMORE

rest-till-u-cannot
I am pretty sure your hormones are instigating you to pull my hair out right now. But this is the most obvious thing to do. To not over-strain, you should not strain. To not strain, take rest, till you cannot rest anymore. Your baby needs rest too. Tell me about gaining extra weight, besides the baby weight but that would go to. Some common symptoms that tell you are not taking enough rest are swollen feet, back ache, excessive exhaustion or weakness. Taking rest need not mean you need to remain alone in bed. You may have friends or cousins over and chat with them while you lay relaxed.

9. EAT EVERYTHING NUTRITIOUS OR NOT SO MUCH

eat-healthy-or-nt-so-much
Oh I am sure you are like “Everyone’s told me that. What new? “Let me tell you there is ‘nothing new’ but it is absolutely inevitable from this list. When you are pregnant and do not eat, you know the consequences? You are starving not one but two lives. Ok, biologically they do not consider a foetus like a living child but you know the strings attached. Don’t you? Who would better than you? Eat everything nutritious for a healthy baby and you can have your cheat days too. Have what your tongue likes instead of what your health does. I am sure there would be some nutrition in that too.

8.  PRE-NATAL EXERCISES

prenatal-exercises
Disclaimer: Do not undertake any physical training without medical supervision or without consulting your physician.
It is a very common yet healthy and beneficial activity to do in your pre-natal days. You can join alone or maybe the couple classes organized at various centres. The exercises are basic breathing exercises and some stretches that decrease chances of changes in the position of the baby.

7. SHOP- NOT TILL YOU DROP, BUT SHOP

shop-not-till-u-drop
Do NOT shop till you drop. That is something which is a big NO in a pregnancy. But shop for your little one. Tell you what? It would not only make you get done with all the preparations that need to be done for the arrival of the little one but will also get you closer to your baby. In choosing what to shop for your baby you would end up thinking more about it. Also you will spend more time realizing how exactly you want to nurse and bring up the little one.

6. DECIDE ON NAMES FOR THE LITTLE ONE

choose-names
You must do it. It is more fun than you think it would be. Remember how excited you were in your childhood to name that little cousin of yours? It is time now to name your own child. Shortlist names for both boys and girls. Find out meanings of those names. Decide onto a couple of them. You will remember the name search forever. You will also end up with lots of more knowledge of names and their meanings. You would not mind. Would you?

5. TURN ON YOUR CREATIVE NERVES

switch-on-creative-nerve
They say your little one inculcates almost every habit you have had or have adobted during your pregnancy. You want that super creative, super active child? Do it all yourself. Switch on the creative you. Maybe you can start with doing the baby’s room. You’ll be creative and you’d have a room for your little one too, just like you wanted it to be. You can make a memory book too. Decorate it. Update it with your pregnancy photographs, Ultrasound reports and graphs and leave lots of space for what is yet to come. Later, it would be like revisiting one of the best times of your life. If you are pregnant right now, I bet you will disagree though .

4. GET CRANKY, HAVE MOOD SWINGS

get-cranky-have-moodswings
You are not going to remember the morning sickness. You may not remember the appointments with the doctor or the getting fat part because of which you were scared of a pregnancy. You would ALWAYS remember your mood swings and midnight ice-creams. Take my word on it, no Mom ever forgets her tantrums and crankiness in her pregnancy. And what better than having a license for it too. You do not have as much liberty when you are PMSing too. So getting cranky and having mood swings is absolutely okay. Do not try to hold it down. Unless of course you are being a pain and you know it.

3. BE AT PEACE WITH YOUR PARTNER

be-peace-with-partner
If you are not, you would not be at ease. Yeah, deny me all you can, but you know you aren’t right.  Talk to your partner more often. It would calm your nerves. Your baby’s too. There are strings attached. You know too well. The baby is as much a part of him as of you. Be at peace with your partner. Don’t argue. You would always remember the time spent with your partner in your pregnancy more than you would remember the times you spent missing sharing with him the experience of that first kick and first foot print. It is ok if you find him a jerk once in a while. Ladies who are not so hormonally invaded find their partners jerks at times too.

2. TALK TO YOUR BABY

talk-to-your-baby
It is the best way to form a bond with that part of you living within you. It is like that inevitable ‘ME’ time of your life. Talk to your baby about anything and everything. You will realize you have the best listener. It is not without reason they say that mom’s get best friends in their little ones. Speak to your baby about its surroundings, your feelings, life in general. Just talk. It would help attach strings.

1. MEDITATION AND INNER PEACE

meditation-and-inner-peace
The best you can do for your baby is radiate positivity. Be positive. Keep Happy. Those positive vibrations will reflect in your baby. Moreover if you are at inner peace with yourself, you are sure to face fewer or no complications with your pregnancy. Keeping at inner peace would keep your blood pressure in check which is absolutely important for a healthy pregnancy. The baby would not feel strained if you are positive. Meditation is one of the best ways to radiate positive feelings. Feel good about everything around you. I can guarantee you will never regret. And you might just form a great habit for life too. Your habits would reflect in your little one too so I think it is about time you stop reading and start following.

Disclaimer: No advice given has any form of medical research attached. These are common to do activities linked with pregnancy to keep boredom at bay. Please do not undertake any form of dietary or physical routine changes without medical supervision

Top 10 Things Girls do when they are Upset.

Being upset is natural and a part of human behavior. There are many different ways to react when upset and everybody has some of their own. Some keep things in while some others just blow it out. Even girls and boys react differently to situations which make them sad. It is normally observed that girls are affected more in a disturbing situation while guys try to divert their mind in other things and tend to get over it comparatively easier. Hormones also play up an important role in your mood and attitude causing a totally different way in which girls deal with their stress and upsetting situations. Yes, every girl has her own way of dealing with it, while there are some common to all. Let’s see what these are.

10. THROW RANDOM STUFF

throw random stuff
When girls are upset they usually start throwing things here and there. They would smash the pillows on the wall or break glass vases and crockery because it kind of gives a satisfaction. It acts as a mean to take out the aggression or cool off their mind. Sometimes they imagine the stuff they throw as the person who has hurt their feelings and in spite of taking their anger on that person they take it on the things around. Well in a way that’s a good thing because smashing a pillow is any day a saner option than smashing your ex’s head!

9. EAT TONS OF ICE CREAM

eat tons of ice cream
Ice-creams are considered to be girl’s best friend when they are upset. Why? Because a brick of ice cream doesn’t ask questions and it never disappoints. How big the problem may be it helps in taking them out of depression. When girls are feeling gloomy they love to indulge in tubs of ice creams or even chocolates and can have them anytime anywhere. Be it there room, balcony or even bath tub. People often wonder that why do girls eat ice creams or chocolates when sad. Maybe because the sweetness of these things cover up for the bitterness in life. Or you can say that eating ice creams and chocolates induces happy hormones which help in getting over the sadness and misery. Whatever the reason be it sure helps.

8. LISTEN TO MUSIC

listen to music
Another best buddy of your foul mood is music. The power of music is so strong that even if it can’t mend the broken heart it can take your mind away from the situation. Music can take you into a completely different world. Whatever is there in your mind it just wipes out for a while and you start imagining yourself in an entirely different setting, maybe in the place of the singer. You start feeling the joy, the bliss and the excitement that the singer must be feeling while performing the track. Or even if you listen to sad music it kind of gives strength by knowing that you are not alone who is going through troubles. Listening to music when upset can take your mind to a dream land where you want to be, away from the adversities and problems of life.

7. SAY EVIL THINGS

Little angry girl looks straight into your eyes
When in a lousy mood girls often tend to say harsh things and hurt people around them. Then later on they wonder “How did those things slipped out of my mouth?” Because those were the things which they didn’t really mean and never wanted to say. It’s a common mistake that people and particularly girls do but after a while when they think over it and realize the words they have spoken, it becomes difficult to take them back.

6. FIGHT WITH FAMILY

fight with family
Some fights are unavoidable, some are necessary and some are totally uncalled for or practically lame. Being around an agitated girl can result in such a lame fight. Usually when upset, a girl’s brain can trick her into what actually she is upset about. A girl might be feeling low due to something happened with her colleague but may bash out at her family members for no reasons leading to unnecessary arguments and fights.

5. ISOLATION

isolation
It is another common way to deal with a bad mood. Isolating yourself from everything and everyone around gives you time and a chance to analyse the whole situation. You think about the cause that made you upset and if it involved any of your mistakes. If it did then what should be done so that the mistake is not repeated any time again in near future. When struck by a problem or while in an unfavorable mood, girls often lock themselves up in a room and keep sitting over there for the whole day not talking to anyone.

4. TURN UP TO FRIENDS

turn upto friends
One always tends to look up to their friends when caught up in a bad mood. Girls also do that when upset. After all a friend in need is a friend in deed. They call their most loved friends and speak their heart out to them. Friends play key role in one’s life and they act as a backbone to your life and help you come out of any problem with such an ease that you feel that the problem was never there. The kind of motivation, the kind of positive energy ones gets from the friends drives the person to cope up with the adversities of life let it be related to work, family, relation or any other.

3. CALL UP MOM

call up mom
A mother daughter relationship has more than one shade. They can be each other’s best critic and also the best adviser. A mother knows her daughter and understands her each and every emotion even when the latter doesn’t speak a word about it. And a daughter knows this special ability of her mother. That’s why whenever she feels a need to lighten up her heart or get a smile on her face she knows who to turn up to. Friends do work wonders in such situations but only a mother can do what she does.

2. SHOPPING

shopping
Being a girl you just can’t deny loving shopping. And unlike other hobbies which people indulge in when in a good mood shopping doesn’t require that. Usually it is very difficult to keep girls away from shopping and when they are in a crummy mood it just gives them another reason to shop! You may call this a shopping therapy and it is very effective for when a girl tries new stuff and finds her looking great in it she might realize her true value and how precious her smile is. But a prolonged use of this therapy also leads to another huge problem- high credit card bill!

1. CRY

cry
Crying while being upset is the most common and often the most effective way to clear out your heart and cope up with the life’s problems which can’t be solved easily. Crying may seem like a women’s emotional weapon when everything else fails but it comes pretty naturally and most of the times the girl herself can’t help it. When a girl cries it’s not only the tears that come out but feelings also accompany them. And scientifically it has been proven that crying actually makes you feel good. That’s sometimes it’s good to cry your heart out as it takes load of your chest and you finally feel ready to let go.

What would you do if you become blind.

It is a horrible situation to be blind.we realize that boon of having two eyes when we become blind when we want to know the wonderful creation of this world, we have to beg help from other persons.
If I become blind I don’t  have even a faint idea of what I will do. Any how I will weep a lot thinking  about my misfortune. It is of no help to weep, but rather I should discover some ways to cope with the new situation. I even doubt if my hands would be able to carry food from my plate and deposit in my mouth, I will always carry a walking stick which will help to step forward and to know if any thing is blocking my way or not. Though my mind would be filled with sorrow, I would carry a smiling face always to cheer up my family members.
I will request my parents to admit me in a blind school if possible. I will continue my study there and try to make me a bit clever than others.
Though the blind has to lead a hard life. I will try to bear everything in my life.

They are in Love with their ego.

Ancient days were the real days of truth and its fruits itself were also true. But, today the days have passed and all the world has immersed in the ocean of falsehood. Human of these days is after money and look only a individual. The fact; Socrates  was once asked by one of his disciples, “Why is, it sir, that you tell every body who wants to become your disciple to look this pond here and tell you what he sees?”

“That is very simple my friend” ; answered the sage. “I am ready to accept all those who tell me they see the fish swimming around. But those who see only their own image mirrored in the water are in love with their ego. I have no use for them this was the answer from the wise Socrates. Only above the principle is the best formula for building up hands for patriotism.

Sisterly Love

After I completed my intermediate (11th and 12 th grade), in Darjeeling, I went to southern part of India, to a state name Andhra Pradesh for my Bachelors. My younger sister Mailee also accompanied me and we joined a college run by missionary sisters. She joined for her 11th and 12th grade and we had to share the same room in the college hostel. The hostels there have either a double bedded or a four bedded room, so we took a double bedded room for us. Mailee and I had the best of the relations and we had a very close bonding as sisters, but the problem started in the second year when our distant cousin Ramree joined us and I started becoming intimate with her. Mailee started feeling isolated, jealous, and indifferent towards me and our good relation as sisters got ruined.
The hostel where we stayed is a Girl’s hostel run by the same missionary sisters who are very strict. In our first year, my sister and I shared the best of the relations. We were very close and friendly, and we shared everything from clothes, cosmetics to food and we even had common friends because she is just 14 months younger than me and there’s not much difference between us. Sharing our favorite dresses was fun. The warden, teachers and our friend loved and cared for us and they were very glad to see the great bonding between us, but things changed when our distant cousin Ramree joined us, in the second year of our college my sister started becoming resentful towards me. She became jealous and got angry with me because I cared for the cousin more than I cared for her.
In the hostel, there is no system of single room for a one person like here in the US. Back in India, and also in our Nepali culture, the children share a common room with parents until they are able to do everything by themselves. When they grow older they either share a room with bigger brother, sister, aunt or uncle living with the family. There is usually a system of an extended family where one lives with parents, grandparents, aunts and uncle together. So sharing a room with sisters and friends is common thing there, and had to take a four bedded room when our cousin joined us. We three were very good friends in the beginning but slowly my sister started feeling neglected and started growing resentful when I took care of Ramree.
However, when I look back I realize that my sister was right to feel bad. I obviously took more care of Ramree than Mailee because she was very sickly and pale and had some issues with her heart. I felt that she needed more love and care and it was my duty as a bigger sister to take care of her, and forgot about my own sister. Besides that she had many other issues and had to be hospitalized frequently and I had to leave my sister in the hostel, to stay in the hospital with Ramree many times. Ramree was a fun loving person and used to crack jokes and she was a happy person to be with. So I was drawn towards her jovial and friendly nature, which my sister didn’t like. My sister started becoming angry with me and stopped eating and talking with me. At one time she was very weak and started fainting in class. . There was a time when she told me that she wouldn’t hesitate to kill me if she had to, because I gave everything to Ramree which I used to give her. Now I realize that this happened because I neglected her when she wanted more love and care from me.
Now, even after seven years, when I recall those moments in the hostel I feel guilty of not taking the best care of my sister. I regret and feel guilty because Ramree moved to Australia and has forgotten me. I called her many times after I came to the US, but she never made an attempt to call me back. She hardly replies to any of my mails and I feel that I am served right for not taking care of my sister then. My sister lives in Phoenix and we share a very good relation. We help each other when in need and still share our little secrets. Whenever I see her, I recall those past memories and feel bad about my attitude towards her. I now know that she was right to feel jealous, resentful and angry towards me. I learned a lesson that no matter how close you are with others, blood relation is stronger than any other relations and I always cherish our sisterly love.

SUMMER MORNING IN THE WINTER NIGHT

It was a summer morning. The bright sun was bringing warmth to me and to my paddy field. I was carrying a spade and a sickle and was cleaning the bonds of my paddy field to prepare the field for sowing rice. Two cows and a pair of bullocks were grazing across the field nearby me. There were other neighbor friends working in their own fields. We were sharing our joys and sorrows of day events. Our talks were about how much grass is there in the pasture field, how many days are left for the sowing of paddy seedlings, who will be going to the market on Saturday and when will our school reopen for the study.

Suddenly I heard the sound of a small vehicle. I tried to locate the direction of the sound. It was the sound of the vehicle of a team of officers. They were gathered before the camp’s office for taking census and photos of the eight o’clock. I was having headache and fever since the day before. My presence in my mind to think for the future; when to return? When to see the home again? When to cultivate the land and make the dream a real one?

IF I WERE A BUTTERFLY

How happy i would be if i were a butterfly with beautiful wings to fly in the fresh air, in the beautiful scenery. I would have a light, slender and thin body.
Being a human, i have to work and struggle whole day, worrying about one thing or the other.
Butterflies are independent in nature without any worry and struggle, enjoying the beautiful mother nature. They feed themselves from the sweet nectar from the flowers, Choosing one flower and another. Horrible! Daily, i have to eat rice and beans with salty curry which i hate eating in the aluminium plates.
If i were a butterfly, i would have a soft body and i would sleep on a cosy bed; unfortunately,as i am human, i hate sleeping in the hard wooden bed with dirty stinking blankets and mattresses. If i wish to swim, I would go near the river and bask in the shining beach of the river. But i have to work in the dusty field from morning till sunset with full of dust in the body.Better it would be if i were a butterfly.
